De Havilland DHC-3 Otter, CF-ZYL [Position also relayed as CF-ZVV above]
This aircraft was routing from Africa to Canada, via Shannon (through there on 30th April), by Bannock Aerospace. It was previously registered CR-LDA (with Petrofina SA, Luanda, Angola) and subsequently became N62355 and N338AK, both based in Alaska.

It subsequently became, 9K-ACX, N524SJ and N715FW before being broken up in November 1996.

In January 1978 it was sold to International Air Centre and re-registered 9Q-CBK and the following month changed to 9Q-CAU. It was finally destroyed by fire after over-running the runway whilst landing at Bunia, Zaire on 28th August 1978.

US Coast Guard HC-130E, 1414; having departed from Prestwick following an overnight stay.
This aircraft started life as an EC-130E but later re-designated with the USCG. It ended its active service in the AMARC, AZ in 1985, where it was allocated various inventory codes (45014, CF049 and finally 2G006). Subsequently its cockpit went to Reflectone, on to Asia-Pacific Training and Simulation PTE, the hulk to Bob's Air Park, AZ and part of the aft fuselage to repair LAC4588 (French Air Force C-130H 4588/61-PM) at Sogerma, Bordeaux, France.
