This machine ended its service life in June 1977 when it was stored at the AMARG, AZ assigned inventory code '8C018' and unit marked as 'Guantanamo'. In March 1979 it was moved to the Naval Air Rework Facility (NARF) at Alameda, CA and scrapped in May of the same year.

Originally with Quantas as VH-EBA and after service with PWA (October 1978) it became, N138TA, N220AM, N138MJ, HZ-123 and finally restored and returned to Australia as VH-XBA for storage at the Quantas Memorial Foundation.
