This aircraft was subsequently written off on 26th September 1976 whilst on approach to Hot Springs, VA, USA with the loss of all 11 occupants. The aircraft descened below decision height while on a runway 24 ILS approach and impacted terrain 500 feet below the runway elevation of 3,766 feet. Weather included indefinite ceiling - 100 feet, sky obscured, visibility 1/8 mile in fog.
