This aircraft had arrived at Shannon at the end of February to conduct oceanographic survey work, with two NASA aircraft (a Lockheed NP-3A Orion and a Convair/General Dynamics CV990 Coronado). Most of which was conducted in the area around Ocean Station 'J' (approx' 52n 20w) at some 500'.
It ended it's operational days at the MASDC at Davis Monthan AFB, AZ during 1972.
