Austin Airways, HS.748, C-GQTH on a ferry flight from Ontario to Denmark, see letter below:-

This aircraft (c/n 1617) started its service life with Del Linea Aerea Nacional de Chile as CC-CEF on 15/12/1967 and then sold to Austin Airways in May 1979, as C-GQTH, arriving in Canada on 16/07/1979. Leased to Maersk Air, as per above report. Registered as OY-MBH; left Copenhagen on 27/03/1981 for Stansted, where it was repainted as C-GQTH. Delivered back to Canada, via Reykjavik on 4/4/1981 and later sold to Ilford Riverton Airways in January 1984.
Finally owned by Air Manitoba, with whom it was written off after take-off from Sandy Lake Airport, Canada on 10/11/1993, with the loss of seven lives.
The aircraft departed r/w 29 at Sandy Lake and entered a right turn and after passing through 120°, the aircraft descended into 100' trees and crashed.
